About Us

The Oshkosh Elks Lodge on West Fernau Avenue has been a fixture of this city's social fabric for generations. Walk through the front doors and you'll notice it immediately: the woodwork, the banquet halls, the kind of place that feels like it has stories in the walls. Guests consistently describe it as having an old-timey Wisconsin vibe, and that's not a criticism. It's the whole point.

The Lodge runs two distinct dining spaces. The smaller room seats around 30 people comfortably, making it a natural fit for baby showers, bridal luncheons, and milestone celebrations where an intimate feel matters. The kitchen turns out classic Wisconsin fare, including a Friday perch fry that draws a loyal crowd, plus a rotating soup and salad bar that rounds out the meal.

With a 4.6-star rating across 66 reviews, the Lodge earns consistent praise for attentive staff and well-executed events. This is a member-supported organization, so access for dining and events typically comes through a member invitation, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and the crowd familiar.

What We Offer

The Lodge's small dining room is the go-to for private parties of up to 30 guests. Past hosts have booked it for baby showers, ladies' nights, milestone birthdays, and family reunions. Staff coordinate the menu, handle service from start to finish, and make sure details don't slip through the cracks.

For larger gatherings, the auditorium and main event hall can accommodate significantly bigger groups, with setup options for banquets, receptions, and organizational meetings. The kitchen provides catered meals for events, with menu planning handled in advance so hosts aren't scrambling on the day.

The Lodge also serves as a gathering space for BPOE members and their guests for regular dining nights, weekly perch fries, and lodge-sponsored community programs. If you're not yet a member but want to explore booking an event, reaching out through the national Elks website at elks.org is the best starting point.

"I had my daughter's baby shower there. It was fantastic. We had 30 people and the small dinning room was perfect. The food was planned and served perfectly. They were very attentive and thorough. The fee to rent the room was very reasonable as was the per plate fee for food. I would recommend the lodge to anyone. They also have a larger room for wedding receptions and larger gatherings. So nice to plan an event and not have to worry. about the food or service because they did it perfectly."

"Interesting place to go see. Old timey Wisconsin vibe, member's only invite. The perch was definitely under done. The soup & salad bar was a nice touch."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
